Electron doping and phonon scattering in Ti1+xS2 thermoelectric compounds

This work is part of our investigations on sulfide thermoelectric compounds. We report therein on the influence of non-stoichiometry in TiS2 bulk compounds on its electrical and thermal transport properties. We especially focus on the relationship between Ti self-intercalation, carrier concentration and phonon scattering through structural disorder. ZT value of 0.48 at 700K is reported for Ti1.025S2.
