Main activities

Teaching activities
• Undergraduate students : metallurgy, corrosion and electrochemistry, mechanical properties
• Graduate and PhD students (Master lessons) : Elastoplasticity of materials, Mechanical properties of homogeneous materials and solids, viscoplasticity mechanisms, damage and fracture of alloys.
• Lessons and courses at Caen Basse-Normandie university and ENSICAEN

Research topics
• Main thematics : Size effects and mechanical properties of metallic alloys – Magnetomechanical couplings in soft ferromagnetic materials – Temperature assisted damage mechanisms in metallic alloys (creep, formability) – Formability of metallic materials.
• Academic collaborations : La Rochelle university (LEMMA), UTC Compiègne (Roberval), Liège University (ArGEnCo), Nanyang University (Singapour), Laval University (Quebec), Rouen University (GPM).
• Exemple of industrial partners : Arvin-Meritor (INTEVA), Acome, Quertech Ingenierie, Faurecia, MPSA, Autoliv, Arcelor-Mittal, Airbus Hélicoptères, DCNS Cherbourg, Sominex.
• Scientific productions : 62 peer-reviewed publications, 39 international conference presentations (5 invitations), 19 national conference presentations.

Administrative responsibilities
• Head teacher of the research master MANE (Materials, Nanosciences and Energy), Caen Basse-Normandie University, since 2014
• President of the West-Section of the SF2M since 2015
• Team leader FTM (Functional and Thermomechanical Materials) of CRISMAT laboratory since 2008
• “Physical Metallurgy” Group leader, CRISMAT laboratory, since 2008.
• Editorial board member of the review Journal of Metallurgy, Hindawi Publishing Corporation (http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jm/)
• Head teacher of the specialty « Mécanique et Génie des Matériaux », ENSICAEN, from 2008 to 2012.

Scientific thematics
Researcher at the CRISMAT laboratory, I am team leader of the physical metallurgy group. My main centers of interest concern plasticity mechanisms, microstructural characterization, mechanical behavior, magnetic properties of soft ferromagnetic materials, microforming processes and nondestructive tools.
My activities are divided into four main areas : Formability and size effects, elctromechanical and magnetomechanical couplings, Damage and formability, Structural and functional properties of nanostructured materials.
